It will be hard to beat this – within almost a week my paintings got awarded the 1st Place in two different shows. Earlier my painting “Driveway Wonderland” was accepted into the National Juried Show by  Arizona Pastel Artists Association. The show takes place in Sedona and the opening reception was last Saturday. I live in New York and could not make it to the opening last Saturday, but I got a call from the show organizers – my painting was sold at the reception and it was awarded the 1st Place! What is also very special to me is that the judge of awards was Kim Lordier, whose work I absolutely love! My painting is not coming home but going to Colorado after the show closes, so it’s only appropriate to have its picture here one more time 🙂

If you are interested to see how this painting was developed, check out the process photos in this earlier post.

Thanks so much, Karen! It was a special award for me because of that 🙂
